The radiation oncologist reported that Andy's treatment is going well and his last appointment is Friday. This treatment should continue to work and kill the bad cells for up to 30 days from his last appointment. Andy's oncologist says he is responding well to the combined treatments (radiation and his chemo alternatives a.k.a. chemo-light) and he has had remarkable improvements. His neurosurgeon gave him the green light today to elevate to 45 degrees, although it may take him a week or so for his discomfort to subside in order to do so. He has been increasing his elevation for the last few days and with each increase he is closer to going home. Our family is very thankful for Andy's improvements and look forward to each new day as more positive news rolls in.

Everyday Andy's pain is improving and he is more alert due to less dope. He has been able to sit up in bed with the use of a back brace and is now half way through radiation treatment with 6 more business days to go. Andy will be able to enjoy the hospitals room service for at least another 6 weeks - outside chefs have been greatly appreciated!Thank you again for all of your visits, calls, cards, emails, and prayers.
